I believe in the American dream

— the human dream — of a society that empowers all to participate equally in government, to exercise free choice about how they will live, and to live well.

I believe that the Dream is under mortal attack by powerful forces on the far right that would take us back to dictatorship by the powerful few.

I believe that all who love the Dream have the responsiblity to give up life as usual and fight, not only to save democracy, but to expand democracy — to create a culture that focuses its full power on the individualized empowerment of all to live their distinctive potentials for quality of life.

All people have a right to exist and be free, not just the cute ones with money.
